Dartmouth Moves Up in U.S. News & World Report Rankings

 Tuck’s MBA program also remains among the best in the world.

D, to 13th, among top national universities, and its undergraduate teaching was rated third best in the country, according to the annual released on Sept. 23.

“Dartmouth is dedicated to attracting a broad swath of talented students and providing a hands-on learning environment that gives them the skills to debate and discuss issues productively, preparing them to be leaders themselves,” says . “Although rankings are only one metric by which we assess our impact, they affirm that our approach—combining world-class research with a genuine commitment to student success—continues to deliver results.”

Dartmouth also ranked 9th among Best Value Schools, according to U.S. News & World Report. The news follows on the heels of the release of LinkedIn’s first-ever ranking of for long-term career success, in which Dartmouth placed 9th. The list is based on career outcomes of alumni, such as job placement rates, advancement into senior-level positions, and the number of alumni who held internships during college or founded their own companies after graduating.

At the same time, Tuck School of Business’ remains among the , ranking , 6th in Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2025-26 , and in LinkedIn’s Top MBA Programs, released last week.

“The Tuck of today is strong. And as we celebrate Tuck’s 125th year, that strength is being recognized,” says , the Paul Danos Dean of the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Last month, Forbes named Dartmouth 6th among the in New Hampshire, based on employee surveys, and the institution now leads the Ivy League in the Foundation for Individual Rights and Expression’s .

“The college vaulted 189 places after undergoing a major policy revamp to earn a ‘green light’ Spotlight rating and formally adopted institutional neutrality,” according to FIRE’s website. 

“Dartmouth’s accomplishments across these categories are a result of shared community values in action—academic excellence, innovation with an impact, and the respectful exchange of ideas in pursuit of knowledge,” says President Beilock.
